USE CASE
The backend for your event registration form
Formstork is the backend for your event registration form, so there is no server to build or host. Point your HTML or JavaScript form at it and every registration lands in a searchable dashboard, gets emailed to you, and joins an attendee list you can export any time.
How it works
Formstork receives the POST from your event registration form on any host and stores every registration in a searchable, taggable dashboard while emailing you each one, with the attendee's email set as the reply-to. The dashboard shows how many submissions you have collected, so you always know your current headcount, and you can export the whole attendee list to CSV or JSON for check-in or name badges. Connect Google Sheets or Slack to see registrations arrive live, use the rules engine to route by ticket type or session, and on paid plans an autoresponder sends each registrant an instant confirmation with the event details.
Confirm every registration instantly
On paid plans, an autoresponder emails each registrant the moment they sign up, so their spot is confirmed with the event details right away. Every submission still emails you too, with the attendee's address set as the reply-to so you can write back directly.
Always know your headcount
Your dashboard shows how many registrations you have collected, so you can watch signups build and export the full attendee list to CSV or JSON for check-in or name badges. Connect Google Sheets to keep a live copy your team can open any time.
Route by ticket type, keep bots out
The rules engine reads a field like ticket type or session and routes each registration to the right recipient or channel. Meanwhile a hidden honeypot, a server-side content filter, and optional Turnstile, hCaptcha, or reCAPTCHA keep fake signups off your list.
Set it up
- 1Add your event registration form as plain HTML, with fields like name, email, and ticket type, or start from the hosted no-code form builder.
- 2Point the form's action at https://api.formstork.com/submit and add your access key as a hidden access_key field (or use the short /f/YOUR_ACCESS_KEY URL).
- 3Submit once to test. Each registration lands in your dashboard and your inbox, with the attendee's email set as the reply-to and your headcount ticking up.
- 4Optional: turn on an autoresponder to confirm each registrant (paid plans), connect Google Sheets or Slack, or add a rule to route by ticket type.
Frequently asked questions
How do I add a backend to my event registration form?
Point your form's action at https://api.formstork.com/submit and add your access key as a hidden field. That is the backend: Formstork receives the POST, stores each registration in a searchable dashboard, and emails you with the attendee's email set as the reply-to. No server or backend code to write.
Can each registrant get a confirmation email?
Yes, on a paid plan. Turn on an autoresponder and every registrant gets an instant confirmation with your event details the moment they submit. On any plan, each registration also emails you, and you can connect Mailchimp to add attendees to an audience.
Is it free?
Yes. The free plan covers 250 registrations a month with a full dashboard, email delivery, spam filtering, integrations, and 90-day retention, no credit card. Paid plans add more volume, forever retention, autoresponders, and file uploads or attachments.
